Where Does the Library Get Its Funding?

As part of Governor Strickland’s 2007-2009 biennium budget, the Library and Local Government Support Fund (LLGSF) receives 2.22% of the state’s General Revenue Fund. This fund is used to provide operating funds to 251 public libraries in the state. 96% of Delaware County District Library’s operating budget is provided through the LLGSF, with the remaining 4% coming from fines and fees, donations, and interest on investments. The Delaware County District Library receives NO local taxes for operation.
