Where Does the Library Get Its Funding?

As part of Governor Strickland’s 2009-2011 biennium budget, the Public Library Fund (PLF) receives1.97% of the state’s General Revenue Fund, reflecting a .25% reduction to Ohio's public libraries. In May 2009, the voters of Delaware County approved a 1-mill, 10-year levy for Delaware County District Library (DCDL) that will be used to expand library services, including building a new branch in Orange Township, enhancing technology, and increasing the hours that the library is open. We are grateful to our community for their support of DCDL!
