Several years ago, the library replaced its traditional bookmobile with an ELF-Mobile, a vehicle specially designed to allow for an innovative and more responsive way of delivering materials to targeted institutions. Dubbed the WOW-Mobile (Words-On-Wheels), this vehicle carries about a dozen carts, loaded with bestsellers, children’s books, videos, DVDs, audio books, and other much-needed items that members of the Outreach Services staff wheel into daycare centers and senior facilities all over the county. Complete with online access to the main library, this “mobile library” is always welcomed and appreciated by children and seniors alike.
