Storytime Winter Break

During the holidays, our librarians take an opportunity to rejuvenate, as well. For this reason, storytimes will break from December 18 - 29 and resume on Tuesday, January 2 at all branches.

At the Orange Branch Library, the fun doesn't stop on Mondays and Fridays for the Toddler & Preschool Dance Party and new Playtime gatherings. These will continue throughout the break, with the exception of when the library is regularly closed for Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Also, the Main Branch library is maintaining an open playtime for babies on Monday, December 18 and Tuesday, December 19 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. during the regularly scheduled Baby Time.

Looking for more fun while you're on break? Don't forget to keep reading to fill your bookmark for Winter Reading Club! There are activities happening daily at the Ostrander Branch Library during the Winter Break at the Library celebration. Stop by anytime between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. for puzzles, LEGOs, movies or cocoa, depending on the day's theme. The Orange Library is also celebrating Winter Break with parties every day from 2 - 4 p.m. Have fun playing with Play-Doh and LEGOs or stop by for a New Year's Eve craft.

Train enthusiasts will not want to miss a Winter Train Display at the Delaware Main Library, taking place Sunday, December 17 from 12 - 5 p.m. Model train displays will be set up and there will be activities throughout the library for train lovers of all ages.

If you're a last-minute shopper, never fear. The Orange Branch Library has got you covered with a Gift Making Workshop for all ages on Thursday, December 21. Bring the whole family to create homemade gifts. Don't worry - we'll help your little ones make their crafts, so it's still a surprise for their family members.

Happy Holidays from the Delaware County District Library!

See you soon, storytimes
