Writing Month

New Prompt

Teens can interact with an experienced writer and try out a different writing prompt every week throughout the month of November.

In celebration of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), DCDL is hosting a Writing Month for teens in the brand new Teen Room Discord Server. All month long teens will be able to ask an experienced and published author their writing questions. Additionally, each week on Friday there will be a different writing prompt to try out and teens will have a chance to get feedback on their own writing.

To attend, teens must join the DCDL Teen Room Discord Server. Discord is a free virtual hangout space where teens can connect with each other and with DCDL staff. This is a safe space for teens of all backgrounds and identities. Get started with this Google Form. If you're already in the server or need to make a Discord account, head to discord.com.
