All DCDL branches will close early at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 3 and will remain closed on Saturday, July 4 in observation of Independence Day. The Library will reopen with normal operating hours on Sunday, July 5. Wishing you and yours a safe and happy Independence Day!!

Upcoming community events:

City of Delaware – Saturday, July 4

• 11 a.m. – Parade
  The parade steps off from the Fairgrounds’ main gate and heads to Sandusky Street, then through downtown to Wilmer Street, then to S. Henry Street. Bring your flags and cheer on the community!
• 7:30 p.m. – Central Ohio Symphony Concert
  Enjoy an evening of free music on the Phillips Glen lawn at Ohio Wesleyan University. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and settle in for this Delaware tradition! Central Ohio Symphony
• 10 p.m. – Fireworks
  Cap off your night with a spectacular fireworks display launching from the City’s Cherry Street property. Great views can be found along Henry Street and the OWU athletic fields.

Evans Farm 4th of July Bash – Celebrate America’s 250th!

• Live music, games, food trucks, kids’ activities, and so much more!

• Evening Fireworks Display

Ostrander’s July 4th Celebration – Saturday, July 4 

• 10:00 a.m – Parade!
• All Day – Food Trucks
  Enjoy delicious food and treats near the ball fields.
• Dusk – Fireworks Show
  Fireworks will be launched from behind the fire station. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the show from Maugans Community Park or the library grounds.
