Room Use Policies
The Delaware County District Library is charged with providing clean and convenient study and community room spaces for the community. Please note, these policies have been updated as of June 18, 2024. Please read the complete policy before accepting the booking terms and conditions when making your room reservation.
Displays
The library hosts displays in a variety of venues within our branches to provide an opportunity for organizations or individuals to publicize events or services of a civic, cultural, educational or recreational nature. Displays that are partisan, political, religious or commercial, or that advertise or lead to the sale of a product or service are prohibited.

Virtual Gatherings & Photography
By attending a virtual program sponsored in part or whole by the Delaware County District Library, you are agreeing to the Delaware County District Library’s Acceptable Use Policy and all other applicable Library policies found in the Operations Manual.
Additionally, a portion or all of some Library programs may be recorded. Your attendance of these events, virtual or in-person, implies your acceptance of any recording of your name or likeness.
Libraries Are For Everyone
The Libraries Are For Everyone (LAFE) Committee of DCDL serves in an advisory capacity to help create a welcoming and safe environment in the library for all people regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, religion, language, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, ability or disability, and socioeconomic status. They advise the library in five main areas:
- Programs and Services – Offering library programs and services that reflect our community.
- Collection Development – Providing library materials that serve as mirrors for our community’s experiences as well as windows into the experiences of others.
- Staff Development – Providing ongoing and intentional training opportunities for all staff.
- Community Outreach – Building relationships and partnerships with marginalized groups in our community.
- Policies and Procedures – Reviewing library policies and procedures to ensure they are equitably serving staff and patrons of all backgrounds.
