Supplies for Scholars
Since launching in 2013, Supplies for Scholars has served more than 18,000 Delaware County students ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade. All families with students are welcome; there is no income requirement or verification. Registration is open NOW!
The United Way of Delaware County works with county school districts to construct a list that ensures that all our students are off to a great start! Each student attending Supplies for Scholars will shop for the assigned number items designated for their grade level. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend with their students Pre-K through High School. All students 11 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. An adult shopping without children will be limited to no more than 2 backpacks without students present.
Distribution events begin on July 22 and continue through August 12. Main distribution is scheduled for Thursday, July 24 from 10 am to noon and 4 to 6 pm at Willis Education Center (74 West William St., Delaware). A sensory friendly distribution event, limited to 100 attendees, is scheduled for Willis Education Center on July 25 from 9 am to 10 am. Mobile events are scheduled as follows:
- Ashley Buckeye Valley East Elementary School: Tuesday, July 22, 11 am-1 pm
- Sunbury General Rosecrans Elementary School: Wednesday, July 30, 2-4 pm
- Delaware Woodward Elementary School: Wednesday, August 6, 1-2 pm
- Lewis Center Olentangy Administrative Offices: Tuesday, August 12, 11 am-1 pm
