How To Support
Friends of the Library
Love the Library and want to get more involved? The Friends of the Library (FOL) serve as a support group for the DCDL system. They host book sales and children’s and adult events. The FOL also helps fund special activities like exhibits, holiday parties, book discussions, Summer Reading Club, and more. Join the Friends of the Delaware County District Library! Learn more about the Friends and their activities at www.delawarelibraryfriends.org. Memberships and donations are tax-deductible.

The Friends of the Delaware County District Library were awarded the Ohio Friends of the Library Recognition Award in 2018 by the Ohio Library Council.

- The Powell Branch Library currently does have a Volunteens program.
Our Teen Advisory Board meets monthly during the school year and can be used for one service hour. For more information and to register for a TAB session, visit our events calendar!
Book & Material Donations
The Friends of the Delaware County District Library gratefully accept donations of books and media in good condition. Primary donation drop-offs are at Delaware Branch Library and Liberty Branch Library, although smaller donations will be gladly accepted at all our library branches. Please review the accepted donations lists on the FOL webpage to see what we can and cannot accept. Items that are not added to the Library’s collection will be made available at regular Friends of the Library book & media sales, which generate funds to support the Library.
Become a Donor
The library welcomes donations from individuals and groups. Every donation to the Delaware County District Library makes a difference. Your gift may purchase new books, plant a shade tree, provide comfortable seating, or even contribute to a new look for the library.
