Support the Library

You can support the Library in a variety of ways, from contributing financially, donating gently used books and DVDs, or by sharing your time and talents. Whatever avenue you choose, your support is greatly appreciated!

How To Support

Adult Volunteers

Anyone at least 18 years of age who is interested in volunteering at the Library can apply online. However, the Delaware County District Library is not accepting Volunteer applications at this time. If you have questions, please email us at volunteer@delawarelibrary.org.

Volunteens

We are now accepting applications for our summer volunteen program for teens ages 13-17. Teens should apply directly; we will not be accepting inquiries from parents or guardians.

Delaware Library

Book & Material Donations

The Friends of the Delaware County District Library accepts donations of books and materials in good condition. Primary donation drop-offs are at Delaware Main Library and Liberty Branch Library, although smaller donations will be gladly accepted at all our library branches. Books not added to the Library collection are given to the Friends of the Library for their book sales, which generate funds to support the Library. If you have questions, please contact Delaware Branch Manager Pam Taylor at 740-362-3861 or ptaylor@delawarelibrary.org.

Please note that we cannot accept the following: periodicals, magazines, newspapers, journals, activity books, Readers Digest Condensed books, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, LP albums, audio cassettes, travel or computer books over 3 years old, outdated law or medical text, Playaway audiobooks, galley proofs or advanced reader copies.

Here are some additional ways you can donate items.
