Meet Damon Mosley!

An evening with author Damon Mosley

Join us for a conversation with author Damon Mosley and the Delaware African American Heritage Council, followed by a meet and greet and book signing of Mosley’s new book, “Smile for We!”

Local author Damon Mosley just released his second book, “Smile for We,” as part of a movement to stop the negative stereotypes of Black men seen in movies and on TV. He wants to help the world see Black men in a different light, so he grabbed his camera and went outside to find beauty in the US. As more teens are caught up in violence, he hopes the book can also serve as a positive influence, full of role models for younger generations.

On Thursday, September 22, Mosley will chat with Johnnie Jackson, a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Educational Leadership at Miami University and the Diversity and Equity Supervisor for Marion City Schools. They will discuss how Mosley became an author, the inspiration for the book, defining language, and exploring and reframing themes. The evening’s discussion will be followed by a meet and greet, and a book signing of “Smile for We.” Be sure to sign up to receive updates for this event!

Special thanks to our friends at the Delaware African American Heritage Council.
