Branch Exterior Improvements
Through the end of September, there will be construction activity at all library branches as crews complete grounds maintenance, sidewalk concrete repairs, and seal coating and asphalt work in our parking lots.
Earlier this summer, DCDL participated in a facilities assessment with our partners at the Delaware Public Health District (DPHD), using a Fall Prevention Checklist as part of its Stepping Up to Prevent Falls Coalition of Delaware County initiative. The free, voluntary assessment focuses on areas such as entrances, walking surfaces, restrooms, and stairs, and is intended to support partners through education and prevention efforts, not regulation or enforcement.
Following the assessment, DPHD met with library leadership to discuss the results. The assessment also affirmed the library’s planned exterior projects for this fall.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as crews work to keep our buildings and grounds safe, accessible, and well maintained.
