Are you an at-home learner with a love for creating art? Create an original piece of art inspired by this quarter’s theme, “My Favorite Artist Is…,” drop it off at the Orange Branch by Friday, December 30th, and see it on display in our display cases throughout the month of January!

Challenge: Create an original piece of art inspired by the theme “My Favorite Artist Is….” Choose a favorite artist and try to create an original piece of artwork inspired by their artistic style! Please keep your artwork size within the dimensions of our display cases, no larger than 14 inches tall & 10 inches wide. Looking for some inspiration? Check out a book to explore more:

• Or use a DCDL Culture Pass to visit the Columbus Museum of Art for some inspiration!

Art Drop Off: Please drop off your piece of art to the Orange Branch children’s librarians no later than Friday, December 30th to be added to our January display case gallery. Please include your student’s name, age, & parent/guardian’s contact information on the back of the artwork. Staff will create artist labels for the art featuring the student’s first name/last initial and their age.Contact information will be used for staff to reach out to the student’s parent or guardian after September for artwork pickup.

Art Pick Up: Artwork will be taken down in February and stored in the Children’s Services offices. Staff will contact students to pick up their artwork at this time.
