Bad actors are always on the lookout for new ways to part you from your money. DCDL will never call, email, or text asking for your personal information, and we have resources to help you learn how to spot email, online, and phone scams and avoid getting ripped off.

• Not sure if that email, text, or phone call is someone trying to steal your money? Consumer Reports has a list of new and popular scams and how to tell if someone is legit (or not). • If you’re 55+, our friends at SourcePoint offer regular classes on protecting yourself from scams. They will host “How Tech Can Help” on June 5. You can also check their online calendar here.
• The FBI’s official site is constantly updating their information on new scams, and offer tips to help you stay safe.
• Learn more about the common types of scams targeting Ohioans. Have you been targeted by, or the victim of, a scam? Report it to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
