Special Effects Makeup Workshops for Teens

Just in time for Halloween, we’re hosting a special effects artist who will lead three classes for tweens and teens 12 and older who are interested in learning makeup techniques for stage, film, and, of course, HALLOWEEN!

Zella Johnson is a Columbus, OH, artist who specializes in illustration and practical effects. Zella’s work leans towards the horror and fantasy genre, but more specifically, the art of monsters and creatures. She is a recent CCAD graduate and SFX artist for haunted attractions. Join her at one of three upcoming workshops and learn how to do techniques for awesome Halloween makeup, fake wounds, and other ghoulish looks!

Half of the group will apply the makeup to the other half of the group. Half of the teens will leave looking more ghoulish than when they arrived. We cannot guarantee that a teen will be applying or receiving the spooky makeover.

Registration is required. If the class is currently full, please sign up for the waitlist, or register at another library location.
