Office of Communications
The Office of Communications manages and maintains information and messaging for the Delaware County District Library (DCDL) and supports the institution’s vision to be “…our community’s cornerstone for discovery through all stages of life.”
Our goal is to promote and inform our patrons and the larger Delaware County community about the library’s outstanding collections, programs, services, and resources across all branches and outreach services. We accomplish this by participating in community events, maintaining an active online presence, and engaging audiences through a variety of communication channels.
This office also serves as the first point of contact for media inquiries and provides information for editorials, news stories, and features. Please contact Communications Coordinator Nicole Fowles at nfowles@delawarelibrary.org or 740-362-3861 with questions or press inquiries.
In addition, the Office of Communications produces a weekly email newsletter, hosts a weekly podcast, and distributes monthly targeted emails to patrons.
The department is responsible for managing the district’s brand, social media platforms, and website, as well as creating publications such as the quarterly print newsletter, Board of Trustees meeting summaries, and other specialized materials.
Our staff also represent DCDL on community committees and at events; develop and implement communications and marketing plans; provide communication support and counsel to leadership and library branches; and promote the many services and programs offered by the Delaware County District Library.
