COSI Science Festival!
April 29-May 2, 2026
We’re a proud partner of this year’s COSI Science Festival! Science is everywhere, and science is for everyone. The COSI Science Festival builds a diverse STEAM workforce and closes the STEAM skills gap by exposing individuals to science and technology where they live, learn, and lounge. DCDL has planned lots of STEAM focused-programs this spring to bring the magic and learning of COSI to the Library. We’re also partnering with Main Street Delaware for the May First Friday to bring the fun of science to the streets!

Main Street Delaware’s May First Friday
May 1, 2026
Join us for Inventing America: 250 Years of STEAM with Main Street, a First Friday in downtown Delaware event.
Explore downtown Delaware as you visit multiple engaging stations featuring STEAM-based activities, interactive experiments, and creative challenges. This exciting evening is perfect for families, aspiring investigators, and curious minds who want to experience STEAM in action—while celebrating 250 years of American ingenuity.
As Delaware’s Community STEAM Event for the COSI Science Festival, the Library will also distribute COSI Learning Lunchboxes to the first 400 children at the Bookmobile that evening. Lunchboxes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and children must be present with an adult to receive one.
