Vision Statement

The Delaware County District Library (DCDL) is our community’s cornerstone for discovery through all stages of life. Here, we learn, grow, and connect.

Library Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the Library. They set Library policy, hire and supervise the Director and Fiscal Officer, approve the Library’s budget and financial practices, and create the Library’s strategic plans. Four board members are appointed by Delaware County Commissioners while the other three board seats come from Court of Common Pleas appointments.

All meetings are normally held on the third Tuesday of each month starting at 5:00 PM and are open to the public. Meetings will take place in a Delaware County District Library locations or online. Strategic Plan

On June 18, 2024 the DCDL Board of Trustees voted unanimously in favor of the Library’s strategic plan. Next, the Library administration will hold a working retreat where measurable goals and impact will be added. Please view the plan as passed at the link below.
